Industrial Application Engineer

Location : Gand, Belgium

Languages : English and Dutch

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining industrial logistics applications (both enhancements and larger-scale projects).
• Working autonomously on back-end and front-end software development tasks in close collaboration with the team.
• Contributing initially to the software solution responsible for tracking trucks, trains, and vessels.
• Participating in the full development lifecycle, including implementation, documentation, and testing.
• Ensuring high-quality, structured, and well-documented code.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.

Profile

• Master’s degree in IT (or equivalent through experience) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of .NET and solid experience with C#, WPF, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Rigorous approach to implementation, documentation (code comments), and software testing.
• Experience in programming within a production/industrial environment.
• Ability to balance business requirements and technical constraints.
• Experience with Angular.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Dutch or willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to communicate professionally in English.
