FourFive Partners are supporting a top-tier European general contractor recognised for delivering major mission‑critical projects across the continent. With a strong pipeline in the data centre sector, they are now seeking an experienced QA/QC Quality Manager to lead the quality function on a flagship 600 MW hyperscale data centre project in Belgium.
This is a high-impact role at the forefront of one of Europe’s most technically demanding construction programmes.
Role Overview
The QA/QC Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the project’s Quality Management Plan, ensuring all construction activities meet the required standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
This role is essential to delivering a complex, high‑value data centre build to world‑class quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Oversight
- Lead the development and execution of the project Quality Management Plan for all civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural packages.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and client-specific quality requirements.
- Oversee inspections, test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation for all construction phases.
QA/QC Coordination
- Manage the QA/QC team, including inspectors and engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality systems and processes are followed.
- Review and approve subcontractor quality plans, method statements, and inspection protocols.
Testing, Verification & Commissioning Support
- Ensure all materials, equipment, and installations meet quality specifications through rigorous inspections.
- Support FAT/SAT activities, commissioning processes, and verification testing.
- Lead root cause analysis activities and drive corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate quality records, NCRs, punch lists, and handover documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports for the project leadership team.
- Ensure turnover packages meet client and regulatory expectations.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation
- Identify quality risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
- Promote a culture of quality assurance across site teams and subcontractor groups.
- Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality practices and procedures.
Experience
- 7–15+ years’ experience in QA/QC roles on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
- Strong preference for experience in data centres, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, hyperscale tech, or mission‑critical environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing QA/QC teams on complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of QA/QC processes for civil, mechanical, and electrical installations.
- Knowledge of European construction regulations, quality standards, and industry best practice.
- Strong familiarity with commissioning processes, turnover systems, and documentation control.
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
- Strong communication and reporting skills in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
- Recognised quality certification (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) advantageous.
- EU work rights preferred; relocation support may be considered.
