Senior Functional Analyst – Banking & Insurance (BECRIS)

We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with strong experience in banking and insurance to join our client's team in Brussels, focusing on credit-related regulatory reporting (BECRIS).

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the redesign and operational management of our BECRIS IT solution, ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the functional design and analysis of information systems, from concept to implementation.
• Manage planning for preliminary analysis and design phases.
• Support system changes, enhancements, and upgrades from development through production.
• Develop program requirements and specifications tailored to customer needs.
• Analyze service requests for feasibility, technology impact, resource needs, and project timelines.
• Recommend and implement system improvements for better efficiency and compliance.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance to ensure robust and compliant solutions.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years in functional analysis within banking and insurance.
• Proven experience with BECRIS regulatory reporting in Belgium.
• Strong business and functional analysis skills: requirements gathering, gap analysis, impact assessment.
• Test approach and management experience.
• Agile methodologies and data-driven mindset.
• Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
• Clear, structured, and persuasive communication; collaborative team player.
• Technical affinity with:
• Open Systems, Oracle, SQL, PowerCenter, SAS, Perl, UAC, Qlik Sense
• IT security and software development principles

Nice to Have:

• Pragmatic, structured approach with end-to-end ownership focus.
• Experience supporting operational activities of IT solutions.
