Senior Network Security Engineer

🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Network Security Engineer (Hybrid)

An organization operating in a complex, enterprise-level environment is looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to strengthen and secure its network infrastructure.

🔐 Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust network security strategies to prevent cyber threats and unauthorized access
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs (IPSEC & SSL), proxies (forward/reverse), WAF, and load balancers
• Ensure secure cloud connectivity and apply Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) principles
• Manage routing (dynamic, static, inter-domain), switching, MPLS, WiFi, ISP connectivity, ExpressRoute, DNS, TACACS
• Continuously monitor infrastructure, handle security incidents (P1 readiness), and perform vulnerability assessments
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and advanced troubleshooting
• Automate network and security operations using scripting and tools such as Ansible
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, business, and support teams

🛠 Technical Expertise Required

Advanced or expert-level experience in:

Active Directory, Algosec, Ansible, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Proxy solutions, WAF, Netskope, VPN SSL, Scripting, Syslog, Problem Management

Strong knowledge of:

IP Routing, Switching, MPLS, WiFi, ExpressRoute, VPN IPSEC, cloud security, encryption protocols, and secure access models

• Excellent problem-solving mindset
• Able to communicate complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, autonomous yet collaborative
• Comfortable handling high-priority incidents and on-site interventions when required

🌍 Languages

• Dutch or French: Native/Bilingual
• English: Professional proficiency

📍 Location & Work Model

Hybrid role – on-site presence required 3 days per week (Brussels area).

Availability for occasional night operations and critical on-site interventions (within 30 minutes for major incidents) is expected.
