Are you passionate about building the future of live media production?
We’re looking for a Broadcast IP Engineer with deep expertise in SMPTE ST 2110 to help design, deploy, and operate next-generation IP-based broadcast systems. You’ll work at the intersection of broadcast engineering and high-performance IP networking, supporting mission-critical live production environments where reliability, timing, and quality are everything.
This is a chance to play a key role in modernising broadcast infrastructure and shaping how live content is produced and delivered.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support SMPTE ST 2110-based video, audio, and data workflows
- Implement and maintain PTP (IEEE 1588) timing architectures for precision synchronisation
- Configure and operate multicast IP networks (IGMP, PIM, QoS) for real-time media transport
- Integrate broadcast systems and endpoints across Cisco-based IP infrastructures
- Work with broadcast controllers such as Cerebrum for system orchestration and control
- Support live production environments, troubleshooting media-over-IP signal flows and performance issues
- Collaborate with broadcast engineers, IT/network teams, and vendors to deliver robust, scalable solutions
- Contribute to system design, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of IP broadcast workflows
Skills Required
Essential
- Hands-on experience with SMPTE ST 2110 (video, audio, ancillary data)
- Strong knowledge of NMOS, PTP / IEEE 1588, and real-time media transport
- Solid understanding of IP networking in production environments (Ethernet switching, routing, multicast IGMP/PIM, QoS)
- Experience with Cisco networking in broadcast or media environments (including tools such as IPFM)
- Good understanding of broadcast media flows: SDI, IP transport, uncompressed video, compression concepts
- Experience working with professional broadcast equipment and endpoint media devices
Nice to have
- Experience with Cerebrum broadcast control systems
- Background in live production, OB trucks, studios, or remote production environments
- Experience migrating facilities from SDI to IP
- Vendor or systems integrator experience
If you’re excited by the challenge of building state-of-the-art IP broadcast infrastructures and want to work on high-profile, real-world media systems, we’d love to hear from you.
