About NS People


NS People is rethinking how HR is delivered to SMEs and growing companies.

Too often, HR in smaller organizations is reactive, fragmented or dependent on one individual. We believe HR should be structured, technology-enabled and built to scale from day one.

We work with entrepreneurial companies in Belgium and the Netherlands (typically 20–150 employees, sometimes larger scale-ups) and build the HR foundations that allow them to grow with confidence.


Our model combines:

  • Operational HR ownership (HR-as-a-Service)
  • Strategic HR transformation
  • Smart use of modern HR technology
  • Leadership and founder insight


We standardize and automate the recurring 70–80% of HR processes, so our HR leaders can focus on what actually drives impact: managers, teams and organizational growth.

We are still in a growth phase ourselves. That means we are building — refining our playbooks, strengthening our systems, and scaling our team. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to that journey, not just deliver client work.


The Role

You act as HR Manager for multiple SME and growth clients (typically 20–150 FTE).

This is not body-shopping. Clients rely on NS People to build and run their HR properly — and you are part of the expert layer behind that system.


You combine strategic HR thinking with hands-on operational execution. You build structure, support managers, coach leaders, and help professionalize growing organizations. As we scale, you will also contribute to improving our internal playbooks, standardizing workflows, strengthening automation, and onboarding future colleagues.

This is a builder role.


What You’ll Do

  • Set up HR processes from scratch
  • Draft policies and employee handbooks
  • Design onboarding, performance and development cycles
  • Structure compensation & benefits (Belgium & Netherlands)
  • Ensure compliance
  • Coach managers/founder(s) and support employees
  • Leverage HR tech (e.g. Personio, Officient)
  • Think in systems, not just cases


Your Profile

You bring 6–10+ years of HR experience, ideally within SMEs (20–150 FTE), and you have built HR structures from scratch. You have solid knowledge of Belgian employment law and are familiar with Dutch frameworks. You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.


You are structured, pragmatic and service-minded. You are comfortable working autonomously in a remote setup. You are tech-friendly, systems-oriented and have a strong ownership mindset.


You enjoy building and improving — not just maintaining.
