Introduction

• Our client is looking to recruit a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a Steelmaking Plant (brownfield) project.

Organization

• Reporting Hierarchically ‐ Engineering Manager, Functionally ‐ Head of PMO

Function

• Development of Client Specs for Equipment.
• Review of engineering deliverables produced by Suppliers.
• Development of Technical Part of RFQs.
• Validation of Supplier’s Engineering Progress Management of Engineering Interfaces with all stakeholders, including other disciplines and third parties.
• Development and Controlling of the Mechanical Equipment List and other Mechanical Discipline Deliverables.
• Other activities within the industry standard Job Spec of a Lead Mechanical Engineer on a Large CAPEX Project.

Requirements

• Experience Years 10+
• Projects Large CAPEX (EUR 50MM+).
• Industry Steelmaking / EAF Steelmaking experience is a must.
• Past Roles/ Background Mechanical Engineer at OEM Supplier (EAF) Mechanical Engineer at a Steel Plant (EAF‐based technology) Operations and Maintenance Mechanical Engineer (EAF).

Offer

• +/-12 months
• Start Date Will be determined case‐by‐case based on the experience and availability Q1‐26/ Q2‐26
• Full time on site – remote work only with prior approval.
