Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities

For infrastructure projects and programs (Construction of Electricity transmission Assets), we are looking for an expert in Schedule Management. This person will assist Program Managers and an Officer and be in charge of the schedule management of programs from design, construction till the start of commercial operations.

This person is seen as an expert in Schedule management of Infrastructure projects and will also participate in the improvement of the schedule management governance and processes, give training and coaching on schedule management & resources schedule management.

Main Tasks

Defining Schedule Management

  • Define, validate, and challenge schedule management approach considering enterprise environmental factors and program constraints.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and PM Officer to define the approach.
  • Establish framework for managing schedules: levels, calendars, progress measurement, baselines, and change management.
  • Elaborate scheduling requirements for EPC contractors.
  • Establish methodology for consolidating contractors' schedules and progress updates into program schedules.
  • Define schedule reporting as part of program reporting.
  • Ensure sufficient resources for client's investment program (resource scheduling).

Integration with Other Knowledge Areas

  • Scope Management: contribute to or challenge Work Breakdown Structure to ensure proper schedule/budget construction.
  • Procurement/Contract Management: synchronize schedule with budget planning and payment milestones.
  • Interface Management: define interface milestones and tasks aligned with interface register.

Establish and Maintain Program Schedule

  • Set up structure in scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Gather schedule content from stakeholders and program team.
  • Consolidate EPC contractors' schedules into program schedule.
  • Ensure correct linking of tasks between stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings to gather inputs.
  • Continuously challenge scheduling inputs.
  • Apply estimating techniques for durations and variances; introduce advanced scheduling techniques when needed.
  • Monitor progress and data quality.
  • Periodically gather factual progress information from stakeholders.
  • Manage program calendars and baselines.
  • Suggest improvements to schedule management methodology and best practices.

Requirements

  • Part of P2MO department, Grid Solution division, providing project management expertise (budget, risk, schedule).
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Project and Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure projects (engineering, construction).
  • Knowledge of high‑voltage transmission infrastructure projects and/or offshore works (asset).
  • Knowledge of project management methodology (PMI/PMBOK).
  • Proficiency in Dutch and French.
  • Knowledge of schedule management techniques and methodologies.
  • Proactive, strong communicator, and team player.
  • Ability to perform data‑driven analysis and translate into clear conclusions.
  • Strong interviewing skills to gather scheduling inputs critically.
  • 1–3 years' experience in a similar role
