Director of Finance

Hospitality Talents , a recruitment agency specialized in executive and senior management profiles within the hospitality industry, is currently looking for an experienced and visionary Director of Finance to join the Executive Committee of our client, an iconic hotel located in Belgium.

Our client is a landmark hospitality project combining luxury accommodation, multiple high-end F&B outlets, fine dining restaurants, wellness facilities and event spaces, and is positioned among the most exclusive hotel experiences in Belgium.

Due to local labor law, only candidates holding a valid EU passport or EU work permit can be considered. No visa sponsorship is available .

Your Role

As Director of Finance , you will be a key member of the Executive Committee and a strategic business partner to the General Manager and ownership.

You will oversee the full financial operation of a complex, multi-revenue-stream hotel environment and play a critical role in supporting sustainable growth, profitability and long-term financial stability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and executing the financial strategy in alignment with the hotel’s business objectives.
• Overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial reporting.
• Acting as a strategic advisor to senior management by providing clear, relevant and actionable financial insights.
• Managing and optimizing financial performance across all departments, including Rooms, F&B, Wellness and Events.
• Ensuring full compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, internal controls and corporate governance standards.
• Leading, developing and inspiring the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy and accountability.
• Acting as a key point of contact for ownership, auditors, banks and external partners.
• Supporting investment projects, CAPEX planning and long-term asset value optimization.

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience as Director of Finance, Financial Controller or Head of Finance within luxury or upscale hospitality , ideally in complex operations with strong F&B exposure.
• Strong strategic mindset combined with excellent operational financial expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
• High level of expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Solid understanding of hotel KPIs, profitability drivers and cost control in a luxury environment.
• Fluent in English. French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
• Comfortable operating in an international, demanding and high-performance environment.
