Company Description ICG Trading is building a next-generation AI-driven crypto algorithmic trading platform from the ground up. Our focus is on medium- and high-frequency systematic strategies, crypto market microstructure modeling, and scalable low-latency execution across centralized and decentralized exchanges. The objective is to design and deploy fully automated trading systems spanning on-chain and off-chain data ingestion, signal generation, execution, and risk management. Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Quantitative Researcher to help architect and develop crypto algorithmic trading capabilities from scratch. The role involves researching crypto-specific alpha sources (order book dynamics, flow toxicity, funding/basis, on-chain signals), designing and validating quantitative models, and translating research into production-ready strategies. You will work closely with engineering and trading counterparts to build and deploy systematic strategies across CEX and DEX venues, considering liquidity fragmentation, latency, and market structure constraints unique to digital assets. Qualifications Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and applied mathematics Hands-on experience in quantitative research and systematic strategy development Understanding of crypto market structure (CEX/DEX mechanics, liquidity, funding, basis, market regimes) Experience analyzing high-frequency order book and trade data Familiarity with on-chain data concepts (transactions, mempool, MEV, liquidity pools) is a plus Ability to design models and experiments under real-world trading constraints (latency, fees, slippage, inventory risk) Programming proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, or similar (production mindset preferred) Experience with time-series modeling, execution algorithms, or market making is a plus Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, or related quantitative field preferred Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to communicate technical findings clearly
