Role Description
This is a full-time role fat CSR Europe and a key leadership position reporting directly to the Executive Director . We are looking for someone who brings a proven track record in successfully leading business development activities.
The ideal person should have the experience and proven ability to provide attention to detail but also have the skill to think beyond the ‘transactional’ and provide ‘big picture’/innovative thinking.
The main responsibility will be to further improve the membership experience for existing members and to develop and implement added value collaborative platforms to enhance corporate sustainability impact in line with CSR Europe’s Roadmap 2030.
The position offers considerable opportunity for international business exposure within a dynamic, international team. The Senior Manager will be member of CSR Europe’s leadership team and will lead the Membership & Services Team.
Key features of the assignment are :
- To lead staff with a standardized approach to account- and project management focusing on customer satisfaction and member recruitment.
- To support and develop the team in delivery of the team targets and demonstrate a strong sense for people management and cross-team collaboration
- To develop new or strengthen the existing service offer based on the needs of the members, the evolving sustainability agenda and the opportunities in the market
- To build partnerships with key organisations that have expertise to contribute to the service offer to our members and that can augment CSR Europe’s external influence and membership.
- To represent CSR Europe at external events to promote membership and engage partners personally or through other senior members of the team or CSR Europe’s Board of Directors.
Candidate requirements
- You are a sharp analyst, clear thinker, good organiser and happy to persevere through challenging times. You are well-organized, attentive to detail, skilled in setting priorities and meeting deadlines, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- At least 10 years of corporate senior experience is an absolute must, preferably in a context where new projects or approaches were developed and implemented. Having worked in membership organisations, NGOs or business network with a strong focus on added value for companies is also welcome
- Strong background in stakeholder management, with corporate sustainability leaders and senior executives.
- Confidence in working in a complex, multistakeholder and international context, ideally at EU level at least
- You understand and have experience with a wide range of sustainability topics inside companies and have experience in leading and supporting new business efforts in this field.
- Previous experience of coaching staff and leading teams
- You can travel at least 20% of time and work in the Brussels office for at least 60% of your time. Therefore your are based in Belgium or willing to relocate for the job.
- You are fluent in English and at least one other EU language. Legal authority to work within the European Union is also required.
