DEV Engineer

Nexeo Belgium supports leading organizations in banking, finance, insurance, and public sectors through their digital transformation and agile delivery initiatives.

We are currently looking for a DEV Engineer to join a high-performing Agile squad, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-value products within sprints.

Mission Context

The Agile team is a small, cross-functional group combining skills in analysis, design, development, testing, and integration to deliver complete product increments at the end of each sprint.

As a DEV Engineer, you will:

• Apply your technical and analytical skills to deliver features and product components
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the sprint backlog is completed efficiently
• Go beyond your specific expertise to support the team in achieving its goals

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and integrate solutions across the team’s scope of work
• Collaborate closely with business, product, and technical team members to ensure high-quality delivery
• Share knowledge, communicate openly, and support continuous learning within the squad
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance software/hardware delivery speed and operational quality
• Participate actively in sprint planning, refinement, and review activities

Profile

Languages

• Dutch: Active + passive knowledge of other local language
• French: Active + passive knowledge of other local language
• English: Active + passive knowledge of other local language

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant development experience
• Hands-on experience as MF Developer / Technical Analyst
• Familiarity with existing tools and applications (including legacy systems)
• Previous experience in Agile methodology is a plus
• Experience in banking or financial services is highly valued

Technical Skills

• Mandatory:
• MF development and technical analysis
• Strong understanding of the applications used within the team
• Willingness to learn and maintain expertise across the application landscape
• Preferable:
• Agile delivery experience
• Knowledge of banking systems
