Cross-functional Quality Manager

A leading European textile manufacturer with a long-standing tradition and deep-rooted expertise is further strengthening its activities in West Belgium and internationally.

ITZU Executive Search has been mandated to recruit a Cross-functional Quality Manager who combines strategic insight with strong operational drive. This role is essential in supporting the company’s continued development and reinforcing its strong position within technical textiles for protective apparel, workwear, and specialized industrial applications.

The organization is recognized for its high-quality technical textile solutions and integrated production approach, with a strong focus on quality, traceability, and compliance with international standards.

Job Description

The company is seeking a Cross-functional Quality Manager who will act as the guardian of its quality promise.

In this hands-on and strategic role, you will oversee product excellence across spinning, weaving, dyeing, and finishing activities, working closely with production operators, R&D teams, laboratories, and subcontractors.

You will translate insights into concrete actions, ensuring fabrics meet European standards and the high expectations of clients, including major public institutions and protective services.

You will also coach and inspire teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent product quality across all production stages and sites.
• Lead audits, certifications (ISO 9001, Oeko-Tex, BlueSign), and compliance initiatives.
• Analyse cross-site quality data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement pragmatic solutions.
• Act as a bridge between production, R&D, laboratories, and subcontractors.
• Coach and support shop-floor teams to embed a quality-first mindset.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives rooted in operational realities.

This position combines strategic oversight with operational involvement. Reporting lines are clear, and senior management values transparency, practicality, and measurable impact.

Candidate Profile

• Strong technical background in textiles with industrial or hands-on experience.
• Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively with both production teams and senior management.
• Comfortable in Frenh OR Dutch; English is an asset.
