Junior Employee Relations Case Manager Brussels, Belgium Full-time | Hybrid/On-site (as applicable) About the Role We're looking for a Junior Employee Relations Case Manager to join a global People & HR function and support employees and leaders across a fast-paced, international environment. In this role, you'll handle a broad range of employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. You'll work closely with managers, HR Business Partners, Legal teams, and People Services colleagues to resolve issues efficiently while fostering a positive and respectful workplace culture. You'll initially focus on the Belgian employee population, with opportunities to support additional countries as your experience grows. What You'll Be Doing Manage employee relations cases including performance management, disciplinary actions, sickness management, return-to-work, accommodations, disputes, and investigations Handle whistleblowing and internal investigations, escalating to Legal when required Respond to employee inquiries via a People Service Portal (ticketing system such as JIRA), ensuring timely, high-quality responses aligned with SLAs Apply Belgian labour law and employment standards, ensuring compliance and consistency Guide and coach managers on disciplinary and non-disciplinary actions, terminations, and best practices Maintain and update Employee Relations policies and guidelines, including localisation requirements Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, handling Tier 2 cases and escalating Tier 3 matters appropriately Build strong working relationships across People Services, Legal, and Works Councils Ensure accurate documentation and data quality within HR systems Promote a positive culture, strong employee experience, and timely case resolution What We're Looking For Required Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field 2–5 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year focused on Employee Relations Experience managing internal investigations Strong knowledge of employment standards and labour law (Belgium) Experience advising and supporting managers on employee-related matters High attention to detail and strong documentation skills Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines and SLAs Nice to Have Experience working with Works Councils or social negotiation bodies Exposure to global or matrix HR environments Additional European language(s)
