Onsite IT Support Engineer


Looking for an experienced Onsite IT Support Engineer to deliver high-quality, hands-on support across a multi-building campus in Ghent.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being visible, proactive, and close to end users, providing a premium IT experience rather than working purely behind a ticket queue.


What you’ll be doing

End-User & Onsite Support

  • Provide Level 2 onsite IT support for employees, with some Level 1 and limited Level 3 coordination
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, and iOS
  • Act as an escalation point for the Global Service Desk
  • Deliver professional, friendly support to users at all levels, including senior stakeholders
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents and requests using ServiceNow
  • Manage peripherals (printers, scanners, accessories) and local IT stock
  • Maintain accurate asset and CMDB records
  • Support both onsite and remote workers


Collaboration & Meeting Room Technology

  • Support and maintain modern meeting rooms using:
  • Microsoft Teams & Teams Rooms
  • Zoom & Zoom Rooms
  • Neat meeting room hardware (or similar)
  • Provide live support for important meetings, town halls, and onsite events
  • Perform routine testing and basic configuration to ensure reliable meeting experiences


New User Onboarding

  • Deliver a smooth, high-quality onboarding experience for new hires
  • Prepare, configure, and hand over laptops, phones, and accessories
  • Act as a welcoming IT presence on site from day one


What we’re looking for

Essential

  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in a comparable onsite IT / Level 2 support role
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and iOS
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, and Zoom
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with Okta IAM (administration and user management)
  • Comfortable supporting both onsite and remote users
  • Fluent English (French or Dutch/Flemish is a strong advantage)


Nice to have

  • Experience with regulated environments
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, access points)
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or cloud certifications
