KEY RESPONSBAILITIES
The role sits at the crossroads of strategy, governance and day-to-day legal operations. You will be part of the management team, acting as a trusted legal sparring partner while ensuring that legal frameworks support the organisation’s development.
In practice, the role includes:
- Strategic legal advice & management support
- Ownership of Legal & Compliance governance
- Contract management & negotiations
- Public-sector & regulatory context (nice to have / strong asset)
- External counsel & disputes
- Legal enablement & operations
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Law.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel, with a strong contract practice and stakeholder management exposure.
- Ability to combine legal rigour with pragmatism and translate complexity into actionable decisions.
- Comfortable taking ownership, prioritising autonomously and working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Fluent in Dutch (French and/or English is a plus).
- Affinity with or experience in data, IT, security or regulated digital environments.
- Experience in or exposure to public-sector or governmental contexts.
- Knowledge of public procurement legislation.
