Your tasks & responsibilities as an Indirect Tax Manager:Develop professional relationships with the business and provide day-to-day support on requests, advice on (inter)national VAT matters and developments, be the liaison between business and external advisors and coordinate between different teams, including Finance, IT, legal, and other stakeholders; Manage the VAT compliance for the VAT registrations held in the EMEA regionLiaise with external VAT advisorsManage VAT auditsPerform VAT health checksFollow and implement changes in the VAT legislation in the EMEA regionDevelop and maintain VAT training materials and resources.Your profile:Completed degree in business administration, economics, law or comparable qualifications. Specialization or post-graduation in tax is a plus5 years of professional experience in an international tax (VAT) department, tax consultancy or law firmProfound analytical skills & a technical mind, well organized and good attention to detailsProven experience in providing VAT advisory services and managing VAT projects.Strong understanding of EMEA VAT regulations and compliance requirementsBasic knowledge of corporate tax is a plusGood communication skillsTeam player with ability to work autonomously in a customer-driven and results oriented environmentProfound knowledge of common software (MS Office, Powerpoint & notably Excel) & company/business-specific software applications, knowledge of SAP and tax technologyExcellent English language skills (oral and in writing) in order to fulfill internal requirements, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plusYou like to work in a team and you have the potential to grow and develop within the in-house tax teamWe offer:A challenging job with clear objectives and the space for individual initiative and personal growth in an international environment.An attractive salary (fixed & variable), supplemented with an extensive package of fringe benefits.#LI-AVNETThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
