IS Tester (Manual) – Advanced English – Remote Far-Site Brussels, Belgium
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Remote Far-Site – IT equipment provided)
Contract Type: Freelance
Project Duration: 400 days
Initial Contract Duration: 110 days
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced IS Tester (Manual) with strong expertise in manual testing to support a European public sector Information Systems unit responsible for developing, maintaining and operating critical applications related to public health, food safety and animal/plant welfare policies.
The selected professional will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of key European-level information systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define test plans and test cases.
Build test scenarios and scripts.
Execute manual testing (functional, regression, etc.).
Coordinate testing activities when required.
Report results, document evidence and manage defects.
Technical Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in testing technologies, tools and methodologies.
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
At least 5 years of experience using test management tools.
Minimum 10 years of experience using defect tracking tools.
Advanced knowledge of Confluence and Jira.
ISTQB Certified Tester certification is desirable.
Soft Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong reporting and documentation abilities.
Adaptability to evolving technologies.
Ability to work in multicultural and international environments.
Capability to participate in multilingual meetings.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive data.
Languages
English C1 (mandatory).
French C1 (desirable).
Education
EQF Level 6: Bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years of higher education.
Service Conditions
Delivery location: Brussels (Far-Site service model).
IT equipment provided.
Additional services may be included (missions, travel, on-call duties, etc.).
