The European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) is currently seeking a dedicated
Junior Grant & Admin Officer.

- Location: Remote-only (anywhere in Europe).
Responsibilities
- Support management of the grantmaking process, from checking eligibility of applications to final reporting.
- Act as a point of contact for grantees, providing guidance on compliance and administrative requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of funded projects during the grant period to ensure deliverables are met.
- Review and validate financial and narrative reports submitted by grantees.
- Support daily financial operations by processing invoices, tracking expenses, and preparing payment runs for approval.
- Assist in gathering and organizing documentation for audits, notifications to authorities or correspondence with funders.
- Maintain and update internal databases to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in organizing occasional virtual or in-person team meetings.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in grant administration or administrative support, preferably within an EU-funded context.
- Strong understanding of financial management, compliance, and reporting procedures.
- Considerate manner of working with an eye for details.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets) and comfort with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Asana).
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English – both speaking and writing, knowledge of French is a plus.
