Mining Business Manager, Nordics, Central Asia, and Pakistan


Sales Manager – ESCO Division

Location – Flexible within EMECA region (Nordics, Iberia, Spain, Turkey, UAE, Kazakhstan, Germany, Sweden, Finland) 

Work Arrangement – Remote with approximately 50% travel (including US, Nordics, Kazakhstan, Pakistan)

What you'll do


• Sales Leadership: Develop and manage a high-performing sales organization across Nordics, Pakistan, and Central Asia, including direct management of four key reports (Nordics sales team, General Director in Kazakhstan, and country manager in Pakistan). 


• Business Development :Drive business growth by expanding ESCO's market share in mining and motion metric products, focusing on new markets such as Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, and Turkey. Create and present business cases and capital expansion plans to executive leadership. 


• Market Strategy & Intelligence: Implement product pricing strategies, manage profitability, and develop market intelligence on customer needs and machinery utilization to inform sales tactics. 


• Operational Excellence: Manage working capital requirements to support sales growth, leverage Weir Mineral's footprint for mining service capabilities, and ensure team effectiveness and individual development. 


• Travel & Collaboration: Travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites, EMECA headquarters, US Division HQ, and regional offices. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Engineering. 


• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you'll bring 

Must-haves:


• Proven experience in sales management or business development within engineering, product, or service companies servicing mining customers. 


• Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse, international teams across multiple countries. 


• Ability to operate autonomously in complex, high-risk mining jurisdictions such as Central Asia or Africa. 


• Excellent communication, financial acumen, and entrepreneurial skills to develop and execute business strategies.

Nice-to-haves:


• Experience working in or with markets in Pakistan, Kazakhstan, or other Central Asian countries. 


• Background in machine OEM companies.


• International profile with exposure to multicultural teams and global business environments. 


• Familiarity with ERP systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office suite.
