Senior Underwriter M&A

Our client:

Title Risk Global Limited (“TRG”) is a Coverholder at Lloyd’s, with a binding authority from a Lloyd’s syndicate. TRG provides a comprehensive range of Title Insurance products on a global basis. Title Insurance covers legal risks which its clients face in real estate transactions, project development, mortgage finance and Mergers & Acquisitions.

TRG’s, subsidiary, Title Risk Global Europe (“TRGE”) has been set up as a dedicated entity for writing European Title risks. TRGE is a coverholder at Lloyd’s Insurance Company in Brussels and looking to expand its underwriting activities in Europe and as a result is looking to recruit a new (senior) underwriter. 

Job content:

Familiarisation with the terms & conditions of the Binding Authority Agreement (‘BAA’) and work within the Underwriting Guidelines set in the BAA.

Initially, focus will be on French, Belgian and Dutch business, with a view to developing experience across Europe.

Build a portfolio of business across jurisdiction and policy types supported by Title Risk Global Europe.

Review, evaluate and price cases especially the more complex risks by applying sound underwriting judgement and adhering to Underwriting Guidelines.

Demonstrate responsibility for ensuring NBI deadlines and underwriting objectives are met in a timely manner.

Negotiate and maximise business profitability through effective underwriting decisions.

Negotiate with brokers and clients on coverage and pricing effectively, cultivating and maintaining profitable business in line with the company’s strategy.

Carry out the underwriting of risks, drafting policy coverage and exclusions. Analyse underwriting materials to make an assessment of insurability of risk – ultimately being accountable for profitable underwriting performance.

Manage underwriting workflow and reporting in respect of your underwriting duties.
