Sunward is a Chinese designer and manufacturer of construction machinery equipment
specializing in excavators, cranes, aerial work platforms (AWP), and foundation equipment.

Founded in 1999, the company quickly conquered the global market, Sunward boasts a turnover of $1 billion, 5,000 employees, 200 models, and a presence in over 100 countries.

The European subsidiary
is established in Belgium since 2015, with a stable and solid European management team since 2020. The turnover grew from 30 to 115 million €, which is steadily increasing.

With an appreciated strong culture of innovation, quality, service and adaptability and as a challenger,

we are focused on the technical and operational needs of our customers to establish strong partnership. That means we are owner of our European headquarter (Tessenderlo, Belgium) with its own spare parts depot, its sales, marketing and after-sales teams, financial solutions, training and technical support, presence through local distributors.

Our organization is structured into three divisions, based on product ranges.

The European AWP division
was created 18 months ago.

It includes Mobile Access Equipment (
MAE
) and Material Handling Equipment (
Telehandlers
).

We have grown from 7 to 14 models and our range will soon cover 90% of the market's needs, with both diesel and electric models, offering innovative and practical solutions for a wide range of applications and usage conditions: moving people and equipment, both indoors and outdoors and handling varying weights and heights.

Our clients are essentially rental companies (Key accounts) and dealers.

To support our continued growth, we are creating a new position and recruiting our:

AWP European Service Manager

Aerial work platforms + Telehandlers

Your vision and operational responsibilities:

  • You personally assume to be the reference, technical expertise and process manager, at European countries (+ UK + North Africa), as the boss.

  • You are responsible to our clients for providing all the necessary technical expertise to anticipate and resolve all technical issues, in coordination with our internal teams (warranty, spare parts, technical support).

  • You deliver training sessions on our products and systems (hydraulics, electrics, electronics, engines).

  • You ensure technical follow-up after the launch of new machines, including feed-back collection, technical surveys and continuous improvement actions.

  • You communicate with internal specialists and through the CRM system to ensure smooth, rapid and consistent action.

  • You work closely with the sales department.

  • You formalize your know-how and best practices so that it can be passed on.

  • You contribute to the equipment pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process definition.

  • You participate in the evaluation processes of our distributors.

Ideally, this position will be based at our headquarters in Tessenderlo, but you will be required to travel extensively throughout Europe.

Your experience, motivations and qualities :

  • Strong technical education

  • 10 years of relevant experience in MAE and Telehandlers (manufacturer or rental companies)

  • Ability to diagnose issues and implement solutions

  • Knowledge to build a Service activity

  • Fluent English + French or German and other language is a plus.

  • Excellent client relationship.

  • Ease to travel

  • View on a long term development
