Windows & Citrix System Engineer (Hybrid Work)

We are looking for a Windows & Citrix System Engineer to join our team and support one of our clients located in Schaarbeek. You will work within an experienced team of six system engineers and play a key role in keeping a large, business‐critical environment stable and secure.

This is a hands‐on operational role with a strong focus on troubleshooting, daily management, and problem ownership. If you enjoy diving into technical challenges and making systems run smoothly, this role will suit you perfectly.

Your Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Troubleshooting (2nd Line Support)

  • Manage and maintain the Windows and Citrix environments (approximately 80% Windows, 20% Citrix).
  • Handle incidents escalated by the helpdesk when first‐line support cannot resolve them.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot both user‐related and infrastructure‐related issues.
  • Monitor system health and contribute to the overall stability and availability of the platforms.
  • Collaborate daily with a team of six experienced engineers.

Essential Technical Skills

Citrix – Medior Level

You have hands‐on experience operating a Citrix environment that includes:

  • Virtual Apps & Desktops
  • Delivery Controllers
  • StoreFront
  • Citrix Workspace app
  • Director & Studio
  • Profile Management
  • NetScaler (on‐premises)

Windows Server – Medior Level

  • Windows Server 2016 → 2025
  • Confident in troubleshooting and operational management

Languages

You must have C2 proficiency in either Dutch or French.

You should also be able to work comfortably in:

  • Dutch
  • French
  • English (B2)

Additional Required Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of network and security fundamentals

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-have)

The following are not required but will clearly strengthen your application:

  • Citrix Certified Associate (CCA‐V or CCA‐AppDS)
  • Active Directory
  • MS Exchange
  • MS SCOM / MS SCCM
  • VMware vSphere ESX
  • PowerShell (advanced knowledge is a strong advantage)
  • NetApp storage (L1–L2)
  • PRTG monitoring
  • Security tools such as Trend Micro Deep Security, ScanMail, MailMarshal or TMCM
  • Ability to speak or understand German

Work Environment

  • Main location: Schaarbeek
  • Occasional travel to Berlin (up to 2 days per month, costs covered)
  • Hybrid model: 2 to 3 days per week on site
  • Start date: around March 15th, 2026
