About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated SAP Technical Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis. You will provide strategic guidance on our existing SAP technology landscape with a forward-looking perspective on future potential. Your advisory focus will include—but not be limited to—SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, cTMS, and SAP on Private Cloud. Additionally, you will contribute to the success of our emerging RISE project and provide insights into the latest SAP strategies. Role & Responsibilities
SAP Strategic Advisory: Stay abreast of the latest SAP developments and strategic directions. Translate these insights into actionable recommendations aligned with organizational objectives.
SAP BTP Administration: Advise on, manage, and optimize environments on the SAP Business Technology Platform. Contribute to integration projects while ensuring a stable and secure environment.
SAP Solution Manager: Support and advise on the setup, configuration, and maintenance of SAP Solution Manager. Optimize processes including incident management, change management, and test management.
SAP Cloud ALM: Provide guidance on implementing and utilizing SAP Cloud ALM to streamline implementation, testing, and operational processes. Facilitate knowledge transfer and coach teams working with SAP Cloud ALM.
SAP Basis Support: Deliver technical support for SAP Basis Components (including installation, updates, and performance tuning). Ensure security and stability of SAP systems.
RISE with SAP Projects: Advise on the opportunities and benefits of RISE with SAP for the organization. Support migration and transformation initiatives in collaboration with project teams and external partners.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Business) Informatics, Business IT & Management, or related field
Demonstrable, current knowledge of the SAP roadmap and strategic developments, evidenced by recent professional experience with SAP technologies and/or active involvement in SAP-related events, communities, or knowledge platforms
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in SAP environments
Hands-on experience with Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, Basis Components, and RISE environments
Strong communication skills in English plus Dutch or French
Ability to be present at the office at least one day per week
Evaluation Criteria
Depth of SAP Architectural Knowledge: Understanding of the interconnections between classic SAP landscapes (ECC/S/4HANA), cloud components, and hybrid architectures, including decisions around integration, extensibility, and lifecycle management
Insight into SAP BTP Use Cases and Positioning: Ability to concretely explain when and why SAP BTP should be deployed and which services are relevant in specific contexts
Knowledge of ALM Strategies within SAP Ecosystem: Capability to correctly position Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM within different phases of the SAP lifecycle, including their limitations and future outlook
Technical Understanding of RISE with SAP Implications: Comprehension of the technical impact of RISE (governance, responsibility distribution, operations, security, transports, monitoring) and ability to translate this into realistic organizational expectations
Problem-Analytical Skills in Complex SAP Contexts: Ability to systematically analyze complex technical or organizational SAP challenges, identify root causes, and formulate solution approaches with consideration for feasibility and impact
Vision on Future SAP Developments: Well-founded perspective on SAP's future evolution (cloud-first, clean core, AI, automation) and ability to translate this vision into concrete recommendations for our organization
Communication Skills and Stakeholder Management: Capability to clearly, structurally, and audience-appropriately explain complex SAP technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
