The Role of Software Engineer
You'll work across the stack to help Backbone scale from early MVP to enterprise-grade platform. You'll be deeply involved in shaping how data flows through our system: from document parsing and AI-driven insights to a smooth user experience.
Main responsibilities
Build and ship new features end-to-end using TypeScript, Nestjs, and Vue )
Help design and optimize our data processing pipeline (AI-driven document ingestion, parsing, and compliance mapping)
Write clean, modular, testable code
Contribute to decisions around architecture, performance, and scalability
Collaborate directly with the founders and customers to iterate fast
Deploy and monitor applications (AWS)
Experiment, test, and sometimes throw things away: fast learning over perfection
What we're looking for
We hire for talent and drive, not checklists. Your background doesn't need to be \"perfect\" if you can build, think, and learn fast, we'd love to hear from you.
3+ years experience
Builder mindset, you thrive in early-stage environments where clarity is created, not given
Comfortable across backend (frontend is a plus)
Solid experience with NodeJS
Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or Vercel)
Bonus: experience with AI APIs, NLP, or parsing unstructured data
Pragmatic about trade-offs, you know when to hack and when to scale
Fluent in English
