QAQC Inspector

Overview

A detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Inspector to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project. While prior data centre experience is advantageous, it is not essential.

A Mechanical or Electrical background in building services, commercial construction, industrial projects, or MEP installation are encouraged to apply.

The QA/QC Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project quality standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP).
• Review and interpret technical documentation including:
• IFC drawings
• Specifications
• Method Statements
• ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
• RAMS
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
• Verify subcontractors adhere to approved procedures and quality requirements.
• Support internal and external quality audits.

• Perform daily inspections of mechanical and/or electrical installations including:
• HVAC systems
• Plumbing and drainage
• Fire protection systems
• Electrical distribution and containment
• Monitor installation activities to ensure works meet approved standards.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities in line with ITP requirements.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
• Track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Conduct material inspections and verify compliance with approved submittals.

• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including:
• Inspection checklists
• Test reports
• NCR logs
• Quality registers
• Handover dossiers
• Maintain accurate site records and inspection reports.
• Assist in compiling handover documentation including:
• As-built drawings
• O&M manuals
• Commissioning records
• Test certificates

• Collaborate with Construction Managers, Engineers, Commissioning Teams, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
• Attend quality meetings, coordination meetings, and client inspections.
• Support client walkdowns and snagging activities.
• Ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues.

• Promote a culture of quality awareness on site.
• Provide lessons learned and feedback to improve QA/QC processes.
• Support development of best practices across the project lifecycle.

• MEP contracting
• Previous QA/QC experience preferred.
• Strong site engineers seeking to transition into QA/QC will also be considered.

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITPs, inspections, testing protocols, and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards (IEC, ISO, ASHRAE, etc.) is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office and document control systems.
