Freelance Project Manager/Construction Manager| Substation with BESS Projects

We’re partnering with a leading EPC contractor on a crucial substation and battery energy storage system project in Belgium. This initiative is a key part of the region’s renewable energy strategy, aimed at boosting grid reliability and sustainability and modernising substations, as well as accelerating the energy transition. We’re seeking multiple positions - an experienced and ambitious Project Manager and/or Construction Manager to lead delivery and commissioning at the site.

• Location: Brussels, Belgium
• Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
• Start Date: March 2026
• Language: English (essential)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and ensure smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Supervising high quality work from start to finish

Essential:

• Proven experience managing substation/BESS facilities and/or large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work in English
• EU Passport
