What you'll do
We are looking for an experienced and solutions- oriented compliance professional to lead our Hong Kong based Compliance team. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer, International, and will work closely with your fellow compliance professionals, investment professionals, and others across the firm.
Specifically, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain the firm's overall compliance framework for Hong Kong
Identify, assess and advise on regulatory and compliance risks and provide thought leadership on regulatory change and implementation
Partner with senior management on business initiatives and provide management reporting
Manage the local Compliance team as part of the broader compliance function in AsiaPacific, and partner closely with compliance teams across the globe
Act as Manager in Charge for Compliance and AML, serve as the main point of contact for the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and manage any regulatory enquiries
What's Required
Proficiency in English and Mandarin
Law school graduate
15+ years' experience, in a regulatory law, equity trading or hedge fund environment
Previous experience managing teams or individuals
Experience interpreting and applying the Securities and Futures Ordinance rules
Understanding of SFC regulations and rules and broader Asia market regulations
Ability to act with autonomy and decisiveness with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong multitasking, organizational and communications skills
