Position Overview

For a major critical financial infrastructure provider, that places security at the heart of its operations. The Cyber Security Analyst role supports the organisation through security risk assessments, securebydesign requirements, architectural validation, and ongoing security governance. The role contributes to protecting Euroclear's IT landscape — applications, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments — while acting as an internal expert and advisor for all securityrelated topics.

Role Description

The analyst will:

  • Define and advise on the design, implementation, and testing processes needed to safeguard information systems.
  • Perform risk assessments and convert highlevel policies into detailed security requirements for business and IT projects.
  • Validate solution architecture against security standards and contribute to securebydesign principles.
  • Define penetration testing scope, support testing teams, and approve final reports.
  • Implement and maintain security services aligned with IT security policies.
  • Recommend improvements and produce documented technical standards and security principles.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (e.g., IAM, PKI, Cryptography, Network Security, Mainframe Security, Secure Coding).
  • Interact with business owners, auditors, project teams, engineers, architects, and risk managers.

  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to operate in an international, multicultural environment.

Technical Qualifications

Core Technical Expertise

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Security risk assessments, security requirements development, process design, management reporting.
  • Industry best practices in IAM, PKI, network security, and data protection.
  • Application security:
  • OWASP guidelines
  • Secure coding
  • Code scanning tools
  • CI/CD security and compliance automation
  • Security technologies and domains such as:
  • IDaaS, identity management platforms
  • Secure access management, federation services
  • PKI & cryptography
  • Web application firewalls, endpoint security
  • Virtualisation, SDN, Cloud IAAS/PAAS/SAAS
  • Network & DMZ, VOIP, WiFi, 802.1x
  • Antimalware, system protection
  • Middleware, collaboration tools
  • Storage (SAN/NAS), databases
  • Infrastructure as code & automation

Preferred Certifications

  • CISSP, GIAC, SABSA, ISO 27001 LA/LI
  • Specific vendor/product security certifications are an asset.

NonTechnical / Professional Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of cyber security experience (entrylevel) or 10+ years covering multiple domains (senior).
  • Strong skills in documentation and presentation (PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical security solutions.
  • Strong analytical, research, organisational, and timemanagement skills.
  • Good judgement, initiative, and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Ability to present complex topics clearly to both business stakeholders and technical experts.
  • Strong communication skills; open, respectful, structured interaction.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Ownership mindset, accuracy, and serviceoriented attitude.
  • Independent, wellorganized, and capable of working in a networked international environment.
