This is a contract, hybrid role with a primary focus on Brussels and the wider Benelux. Assignments vary by client need and may include advisory work, delivery support, or architecture leadership within transformation programmes. What success looks like You create clarity in complex environments. You help leaders and delivery teams make architecture decisions that hold up under delivery pressure, without turning governance into theatre. ResponsibilitiesTranslate business direction into target architecture, transition states, and an executable roadmap Lead or support enterprise and solution architecture across applications, integration, data, and infrastructure Define and apply practical architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures Establish lightweight governance rhythms (architecture reviews, decision logs, exception handling) that enable delivery Make trade-offs explicit across risk, cost, resilience, and time-to-value Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Security, Data, and Operations Produce crisp artefacts: capability maps, current state assessments, target state views, migration plans, and dependency mapping Support delivery teams to reduce ambiguity, manage dependencies, and prevent expensive rework Qualifications10+ years in IT architecture roles (Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or equivalent) Strong fundamentals in integration patterns, APIs, platforms, and modern application landscapes Working knowledge of security and compliance considerations (security-by-design, data protection) Comfortable communicating with both executives and engineering teams Delivery credibility: you can operate inside real constraints, not just design ideal states Certifications are welcome (for example TOGAF), but practical experience matters most Nice to haveExperience in regulated or high-complexity environments (industrial, public sector, utilities, transport, life sciences) Exposure to cloud transformation, ERP or core platform modernisation, and large integration landscapes Familiarity working alongside programme leadership, PMO, and transformation governance Engagement modelIndependent Service Provider, contract engagements Hybrid working, Brussels and Benelux focus Availability aligned to client demand >>>>>>>>>>>How to apply (important)<<<<<<<<<<<<< Applications must be sent by email to .
