Technical Program Manager, Environmental Compliance

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Geology, Biology, Meteorology, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in technical program management in EMEA supporting or conducting environmental due diligence for new site selection.
Experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Geology, Biology, Meteorology, or a related field.
Experience communicating with regional and national authorities regarding EHS issues.
Experience in collaboration and relationship-building with cross-functional teams and executive-level stakeholders.
Knowledge of EMEA environmental regulations and ability to understand and evaluate impacts for data centers and mission critical infrastructure.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate operational environmental risks for impact to the business, starting from due diligence through campus planning and design phases; analyzes environmental risk scenarios to determine their potential impact to the business and design/lead programs to mitigate those risks.
Conducts assessments of existing Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure alignment with global strategy, including analyzing environmental business risks and identifying efficiencies with a focus on soil and groundwater remediation, hazardous waste, water and wastewater, environmental permitting and compliance, solid waste/geotechnical, air emissions, environmental and human health risk assessment.
Lead environmental permitting, investigations and assessments to support compliance with EMEA country specific regulations for YAWN and Third Party data centers.
Contribute to regional/global tracking of milestones and deliverables for environmental and regulatory compliance.
