Position:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this department is to monitor that the organization stays in compliance with the prevailing regulations (EASA, FAA, BCAA, IATA, …).

The purpose of the job is to monitor compliance with, and adequacy of, procedures as required by the different authorities and manage the audit team.

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • To establish, implement, maintain and improve the company Compliance Program to retain the organization approvals (AOC, CAMO, ATO, …).
  • To verify by monitoring activities in the field of Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Maintenance and Flight Crew Training that the standards required by EASA / BCAA and any additional requirements defined by ASLB are carried out in full compliance with prevailing regulations.
  • To participate in relevant company projects and provide the project team with advice and expertise to verify compliance with prevailing regulations.
  • To manage the Compliance Monitoring Department staff members according to the IIP standards and company HR policies to achieve satisfied and competent staff members.

People Management

  • Motivate the staff as well as deal with personnel issues and take appropriate actions to ensure continuity in staff performance to ensure a high quality of services is maintained.
  • Manage that approved rosters for his team are timely in place and ensures availability of sufficient resources for all the required duties according to the approved rosters.
  • Contribute to create an environment in which new ideas and alternatives are encouraged to ensure continuous improvement in the current way of working to develop a challenge minded team spirit.
  • Conduct individuals staff appraisals according to the internal performance management process.
  • Lead, motivate and empower employees through effective & open communication, regular performance feedback and teambuilding to maximize customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, business results and team productivity.
  • Develop and maintain a set of procedures detailing how the activities are carried out and ensure adequate application.
  • Develop and maintain a set of indicators (KPI) measuring the performance of the actives and ensure that the agreed targets are constantly met or exceeded.
  • Recruit and maintain motivated, well-qualified & high-performing staff members.
  • Ensure that all staff receive training in line with the established Training Policy and to secure the required knowledge levels.

Communication

  • Enhance relationships and communicate with other departments and (sub-)contractors to ensure effective and efficient co-operation aiming to improve overall company performance.

Internal compliance

  • To comply with all relevant divisional and local company related policies, procedures and legal requirements.

Customer Experience

  • At anytime and anywhere, to perform the activities and display the behaviors that are designed to deliver distinctive Customer Experience.
Requirements:

REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates

  • Holder of a master's degree in engineering and/or theoretical ATPL.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge (number of years, type of experience)

  • Experience in Compliance with an Operator and/or MRO (min 2 years).
  • Good knowledge of EASA/BCAA/IATA that are relevant to the company.

Necessary Technical / Functional Skills

  • Managerial skills: diplomatic, analytical, team leader, positive personality.
  • Strong in both written and verbal English and one other European language.
  • Being acceptable to the BCAA.
  • Computer literate.

Behavioural Skills

  • To display positive, open and cooperative behavior to facilitate a good relationship inside and outside the department, avoid and help to solve conflicts.
  • To be rigorous, precise, well organized, solution orientated, proactive, etc.
  • Available for travel.
