The Business Analyst is responsible for designing efficient business processes. You capture business needs and translate them into detailed specifications for IT systems. You act as a bridge between the business/users and various IT partners (functional analysts, project leaders, architects, etc.), challenging all stakeholders when needed.
You ensure that IT tools optimally and pragmatically support business processes.
Concretely, you will:
Model current and future business processes.
Identify business needs and translate them into clear business requirements in the form of epics, features, and user stories.
Challenge the business regarding existing and future processes.
Develop business information models describing the data and information required to realize requirements (including interfaces, diagrams, reports, etc.).
Align and validate requirements between business and IT.
Validate functional analyses produced by IT.
Support implementation and releases, including testing and validation in UAT.
Play an active role in change management, including preparing training materials and delivering end-user training in line with the existing change management methodology and toolkit.
Support the business in using IT tools during the post-implementation phase.
Additional Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent through experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, including identifying needs, drafting business requirements, and designing business processes.
Good knowledge of English (reading and writing required).
Very good knowledge of Dutch or French (speaking, reading, writing required)
Strong analytical skills and a critical mindset; you are confident in challenging stakeholders.
Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently and in a team; capable of building consensus and convincing stakeholders.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Customer-oriented and flexible.
Basic knowledge of MS Project (or willingness to learn).
Knowledge of BPMN and UML.
Experience with Enterprise Architect (EA), Jira, and DevOps is a plus.
