Operational Buyer (Direct) - Verviers, Belgium
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless supply of essential materials for a leading industry site in Verviers? We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operational Buyer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. What You'll Do
As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for the timely procurement of indirect materials, ensuring that materials meet quality standards and are available to support site operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain—to manage purchase orders, maintain master data in SAP ERP, resolve invoice queries, and support supplier qualification processes. Your proactive approach will help prevent stock outs, streamline procurement activities, and uphold the site's supply chain integrity.
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
Fluency in French and English (Business Level)
0-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative roles
Strong data analysis and timeline management abilities
Proven problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships
Familiarity with SAP ERP or similar procurement systems
Nice To Have Skills
Experience working within GMP or regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, etc.)
Knowledge of raw material qualification or Quality Management systems
Basic understanding of supplier management and vendor qualification processes
Additional language skills, particularly Dutch, would be a plus
Preferred Education And Experience
A bachelor's degree in administrative studies or supply chain management, combined with relevant entry-level professional experience in procurement or administrative support, is ideal for candidates aiming to excel in this position.
