Manager, Product Pricing
What the role is?
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate pricing methodologies, guiding a team of actuarial professionals, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. This role is pivotal in enhancing our product offerings and positioning the Company for future growth.
Lead pricing projects independently from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of all project milestones.
Guide and oversee the work quality of juniors, ensuring that all work and pricing results and customer/channel-facing materials are accurate and clearly explained.
Develop, implement, and review pricing spreadsheet/actuarial program and methodologies for new insurance products or the proposed product feature change, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards and company policies;
Liaise with reinsurers and other stakeholders in an effective manner and ensure cohesive product development.
Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and optimize overall team performance.
Identify and evaluate potential product risks, proposing effective mitigation strategies to immediate seniors.
Challenge existing practices and identify opportunities for process enhancements to support effective operations.
What we look for?
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines; fellowship in a recognized actuarial society preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience in the life insurance sector, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in leading pricing projects independently.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (RBC, IFRS 17) and actuarial principles.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with Prophet is an advantage.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good command of spoken in English and Chinese (Cantonese is a plus).
