For our Brussels office, we are currently looking for a Medior Business / Functional Analyst to join one of our trusted clients in the insurance sector.
About the Role
For a major insurance client based in Brussels, we are seeking an experienced Business / Functional Analyst with a strong background in digital transformation projects within the insurance industry.
You will join a complex and mature organization undergoing significant transformation and acceleration. Acting as a key link between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, you will help translate strategic objectives into high-quality, actionable solutions.
This is a hybrid position, based in Brussels.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business / Functional Analyst, you will:
Analyze and formalize business needs within complex insurance processes
Translate business requirements into clear and structured functional specifications
Work within a matrix organization involving multiple stakeholders and decision-making layers
Support digital transformation initiatives impacting processes, tools, and ways of working
Collaborate closely with:
Business owners
IT and technical teams
Vendors and external partners
Contribute to process redesign, optimization, and governance
Support change initiatives and ensure alignment between business and technology
Participate in phased deliveries and transformation waves
Ensure quality, consistency, and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Your Profile
We are looking for a medior to senior-level professional with the following background:
5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Functional Analyst
Strong experience in the insurance sector (life, non-life, claims, policy administration, or similar domains)
Proven experience in digital transformation projects
Comfortable working in complex, matrix-based organizations
Able to interact effectively with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
Experience working with external vendors is a plus
Familiarity with structured delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall)
Languages
English: Fluent
Dutch or French: Strong professional proficiency
