The Mission
Own our Asian expansion, with a primary focus on Mainland China.
Your #1 objective is to identify, secure, and scale with a top-tier local partner/distributor for China, then build sustainable multi-channel revenue across Asia while growing IvyBears into a loved brand on regional social and e-commerce platforms.
Compensation & Trial Structure (Important)
This role starts with a performance-based trial:
20% commission on any cash-in generated (paid on received funds).
No base salary during the trial period.
The goal is to prove traction fast—speed, execution, and measurable results matter.
Partner Profile We Are Looking For (Also Important)
We are not looking to work with state-owned enterprises or slow-moving conglomerates or comparable organizations where communication and processes are typically slow and decision cycles are long.
We are specifically looking for a privately owned, execution-first partner that has mastered CBED/CBEC (cross-border e-commerce) and can move quickly with clear accountability and measurable KPIs.
What You'll Do
Distributor / Partner Sourcing & Selection (China-first):
Map the landscape, shortlist, and close a private, high-velocity master partner for Mainland China.
Structure agreements, commercial terms, and performance KPIs.
Revenue Ownership (Asia):
Build and deliver the commercial plan for China and key Asian markets (HK, TW, SG, MY, ID, TH, PH, KR, JP).
Full responsibility for pipeline, close, and cash-in performance.
CBEC & Channel Strategy:
Orchestrate a scalable mix of CBEC (Tmall Global, JD Worldwide) and social commerce (Douyin/TikTok Shop), plus regional platforms (Shopee/Lazada where relevant).
Develop repeatable playbooks for sell-in/sell-out and partner activation.
Brand & Social Growth:
Drive brand building across WeChat, Weibo, RED (Xiaohongshu), Douyin, and KOL/KOC partnerships.
Localize messaging and execute campaigns with the IvyBears marketing team.
Retail & Key Accounts (where applicable):
Open and grow priority accounts; manage pricing, trade terms, and promotions.
Regulatory & Ops Enablement:
Coordinate CBEC pathways, labeling requirements, and readiness for import/compliance with internal and partner teams.
Forecasting & Reporting:
Own pipeline tracking, forecasting, and weekly performance reviews with clear KPIs (cash-in, margin, CAC/ROI, account-level unit economics).
What You'll Bring
5–10+ years in BD/Sales in China or broader Asia within supplements, beauty, pharma, FMCG, or grocery.
Proven track record of opening markets and scaling revenue with speed and accountability.
Deep network across private distributors, CBEC operators, marketplaces, and key buyers in China.
Hands-on experience with Tmall/JD/Douyin/WeChat ecosystems, KOL marketing, and social commerce.
Solid understanding of CBEC vs. general trade, regulatory basics (labeling/NMPA pathways as relevant), and logistics (bonded warehouses, last-mile).
Fluent Mandarin + strong English.
Entrepreneurial, data-driven operator who thrives in a high-ownership, performance-based environment.
