We are looking for a network engineer at a medior level with the ambition to grow into a senior role. An engineer in this position will be presented with a wide range of tasks. The focus of these tasks is, of course, on networking and (network) security, but we strongly encourage thinking beyond one's own area of expertise, showing initiative, and gaining knowledge in other domains.

• Executing network projects, either fully independently or as part of a project team
• Resolving a wide range of network issues for a large variety of customers
• Performing on-site interventions at customer locations in Belgium and the southern Netherlands
• Implementing network changes
• Managing the network lifecycle (e.g. software updates and patches, hardware replacements)
• Ensuring effective communication between customers and 2invision in an advisory role
• Supporting and improving internal tools (e.g. monitoring) and processes by providing constructive feedback

In addition, we are looking for a network engineer who is willing to focus on an important client for Previder. For this role, a number of specific aspects apply:

• Ensuring weekly on-site presence at the client, 1 day per week in Brussels (Wetstraat area)
• Performing network tasks and projects under the guidance of senior network engineers from Previder
• Sharing expertise about the customer environment within the Previder organization
• Affinity with and passion for IT and networking
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in: Network management, Troubleshooting IT environments and application network communication, Network firewalls, Switching, Routing
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft products such as Windows Server and Azure (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Linux (preferred)
• Experience with load balancers and NAC systems (preferred)
• Understanding the importance of security-centered working and the ability to apply it
• Proactive attitude, structured way of working, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and push personal boundaries through research and experimentation
• Eagerness to learn and the ability to absorb new information easily
• Willingness to obtain required certifications
• Understanding the value of documentation and processes
• Possession of a Category B driving license
• Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written), plus a reasonable understanding of French (listening and reading)
