V'air Sustainability Education is Hong Kong's first youth‑led sustainable tourism social enterprise, founded on the mission to reinvent sustainability education with place-based and nature-based experiences grounded in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework. Our four main pillars include sustainable tourism, education, research, and youth empowerment. Recognized internationally by Eco‑Business Singapore and The Japan Times, V'air creates a platform that nurtures interdisciplinary ESG and climate leaders.
To date, V'air has reached over 2.5 million people through online and offline sustainability education campaigns. In 2025, we have engaged 2,200+ participants, partnered with 35 organizations, and delivered 57 programmes across themes including rural revitalization, ESG, and marine conservation. Recent innovative projects include co-creating \"Disney Environmental Expedition\" with Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, organizing a series of eco and cultural tours for Royal Geographical Society, and designing an award-winning low-carbon cycling map with Sino Group. Job Description
As a Sustainability Programme and Operations Coordinator, you will play a central role within our small and motivated team. You will support the design and delivery of our sustainability education initiatives, and contribute across diverse work streams, ranging from programme execution to partnership and community engagement.
We are looking for a candidate who is deeply committed to sustainability and capable of thriving in a dynamic startup setting. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional comfortable with a variety of responsibilities, including guiding eco-tours, assisting with partnership discussions, and creating social media content. This role offers substantial opportunity for professional growth and direct sustainability and social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Implementation: Manage and execute multiple sustainability education projects, from planning through to completion and evaluation.
Stakeholder and Partnership Engagement: Collaborate with partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Hands-On Programme Delivery: Lead eco-tours and other experiential learning activities focused on climate action, low-carbon living, and related sustainability topics.
Content Creation and Promotion: Develop engaging content for social media platforms (such as LinkedIn and Instagram) to promote programmes and communicate our mission.
Business and Operational Support: Assist in business negotiations, partnership development, and funding applications.
Ad Hoc Duties: Contribute to broader team operations and undertake additional tasks as required in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Passion for Sustainability: A strong passion for sustainability and a proactive approach to work are essential. The capacity to learn is valued as important as formal qualifications.
Education and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree or above. Fresh graduates are welcome. A degree in a related field (e.g., geography, environmental studies, sustainability) is advantageous but not mandatory. Good contextual knowledge of Hong Kong's geography is required.
Project Management Ability: Demonstrated capability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a small team structure.
Initiative and Adaptability: A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently, identify needs, and propose solutions.
Communication Skills: Confidence in engaging diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Cantonese and English is required.
Practical and Versatile Approach: Willingness to undertake a wide range of duties, from tour guiding to content drafting and operational support.
Technical Proficiency: Competence in MS Office and Chinese word processing. Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Illustrator) is advantageous but not mandatory.
Schedule Flexibility: Availability to support occasional weekend and evening activities, including tours and events.
