The Services Department provides end-to-end services for the development and operation of complex systems, and support by highly qualified and expert scientists, engineers and instructors. We provide complete teams and individuals to manage, coordinate and execute service provision, expert in many scientific and engineering domains as well as staff experienced in operations and training. Position We are seeking a Services Business Development Manager to drive growth in our services portfolio, bridging the gap between technical expertise and commercial strategy. This role combines technical understanding of space activities and the related services. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing relationships with institutional and commercial customers, as well as potential partners. Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area) Start date: At the earliest Tasks and Responsibilities Business Development: Identify and pursue new services business opportunities, aligned with or contributing to the Department and Company strategy Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional customers, partners, and commercial customers worldwide Support strategic go-to-market plans for commercial services Bid Management & Coordination: Support or coordinate the practical services bid process from kick-off to submission Work closely with technical contributors and existing services teams to prepare proposals and services offering Support to recruitment Support the Technical Recruiters and the Human Resources Team in the recruitment process for new or future services Skills and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline 2 years of experience in business development within the space, aerospace, or defence sector Strong knowledge of at least one space business domain: Earth observation, engineering service or ground systems Demonstrated ability to manage complex services sales cycles Excellent communication skills to engage both technical experts and executive stakeholders.
