Presales Solutions Architect
Qity is a Belgian engineering, quality, and regulatory organisation operating at the intersection of software, compliance, and highly regulated industries. Qity designs and operates regulatory-critical platforms such as a fully integrated Quality Management System, a Data Protection platform, and a Manufacturing Execution System, and provides expert services across quality management, regulatory affairs, data protection, information security, and cybersecurity, and supports companies developing and operating regulated products and services, with a strong focus on medical devices, life sciences, and regulated digital systems, combining engineering discipline with audit-grade execution.
Role overview
Qity is seeking a Presales Architect to work with prospective customers from first engagement onward, translating needs into coherent solution propositions and supporting their progression through the commercial lifecycle, working closely with product and service design and development.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, compliance, and commercial engagement. The successful candidate will engage prospects throughout the full opportunity lifecycle, translate complex regulatory and technical needs into coherent solutions, and ensure proposals are realistic, compliant, and aligned with Qity's delivery capabilities.
Key responsibilities
Engage with inbound and outbound leads to understand organisational context, regulatory drivers, technical environments, and commercial constraints.
Lead structured discovery conversations covering quality systems, software development practices, data protection, information security, and operational maturity.
Present solution proposals combining Qity platforms (QMS, MES) with consulting and support services where appropriate.
Prepare and present clear solution narratives, demonstrations, and written proposals suitable for executive, quality, regulatory, and technical audiences.
Work closely with engineering, delivery, quality, and regulatory teams to validate scope, assumptions, effort, and feasibility prior to commercial commitment.
Support bid responses, statements of work, and commercial documentation with a strong focus on clarity, traceability, and risk control.
Act as a technical and regulatory reference during the presales phase, ensuring expectations are accurate and defensible.
Required experience and skills
Strong engineering background, with the ability to understand software architectures, system integrations, and operational constraints.
Proven experience in presales, solution architecture, or a comparable client-facing technical role.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory and technical topics clearly to non-specialist audiences.
Solid understanding of one or more of the following domains: quality management systems, regulated software development, and/or manufacturing/operational systems.
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple opportunities in parallel, and maintain structured documentation throughout the sales cycle.
Nice to have
Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or other highly regulated sectors.
Familiarity with audit processes, certification projects, or regulatory submissions.
Experience working with SaaS platforms and structured delivery frameworks.
Practical details
Based in Liège, with regular presence at the office and availability for client meetings.
