Internship, Brussels

Our Internship Program – at the Heart of EU Affairs

We are currently looking for individuals to join our internship program and are offering a paid internship position for a period of six months, starting March 2, 2026.

In Brussels, Brunswick focuses on EU public and regulatory affairs, media relations and corporate reputation building, helping businesses and other organisations address critical challenges.

The ideal candidate will join our international and multilingual team in Brussels, where they will work as a junior team member alongside our experienced consultants. They will assist client teams on assignments covering EU policy areas such as competition, antitrust & foreign investment, energy and environment, food and consumer industries, healthcare and life sciences, technology and media, and industry & infrastructure.

This internship will provide you with direct experience of the role of a consultant and insight into how public affairs and corporate communications strategies are formulated and implemented. The role will typically involve research into policy issues or the media landscape, following political debates on relevant issues and drafting information and advice notes for clients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are looking for individuals with a strong academic background, knowledge of EU decision-making, and excellent analytical and communication skills. You enjoy being part of a team that provides excellent client service and will be excited by the idea of learning fast and taking on responsibility quickly.

We require fluency in English, both written and oral. Any other European languages are an asset.

We are looking for individuals that have already graduated or who are interested in a professional experience as part of the CIP programme (Convention d'Immersion Professionelle).

Should your application be successful, any non-EU candidates must take into consideration the following:

  • Job seekers from non-EU countries may also work as an intern on a valid work permit.
  • Foreign students with US nationality, or a national outside the EU with a single work permit for study in another country, may be allowed a CIP.
  • A current residential address in Belgium is not mandatory but your presence in Brussels during the duration of the internship is compulsory.

Working flexibly is part of Brunswick's office culture, and while exceptionally you may work from home, we do recommend interns to spend most of their time in the office to make the most of the experience. Brunswick will provide the necessary equipment and assistance to ensure a smooth running of the internship. Brunswick pays its interns a reasonable monthly allowance to help cover living and other costs.
