Role overview
The Desk Sales Rail plays a key role in connecting Sales, Production, and Project Management to ensure everything runs smoothly from order to delivery. In this role, you will manage the full order process, coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors, and act as the primary partner for our Rail OEM customers. By driving efficient execution and ensuring on‑time deliveries, you directly contribute to the successful completion of every Rail project.
What you will be doing
Own the full delivery process from order intake to final shipment, ensuring smooth, on‑time execution for customers
Analyze and process incoming orders while creating all necessary data in the ERP system (articles, pricing, delivery schedules)
Coordinate the entire production flow, both internally and with subcontractors, to meet customer agreements and timelines
Manage subcontractors end‑to‑end—from issuing purchase orders to planning, transport arrangements, approvals, and invoice follow-up
Organize shipments by preparing loading lists and working closely with logistics to arrange transports, including special deliveries
Act as the customer's key point of contact, handling complaints, resolving issues, and working collaboratively with Sales and Project Management

What will make you successful?
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration or a related field (Sales Management, Project Management, Operations Management)
Fluent Dutch, English and French language knowledge. Any other language is a plus
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (project management, customer service, planning, logistics) within a technical environment
Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics coordination
Personal Skills
Highly organized, with a strong ability to structure tasks and workflows
Clear, proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders informed and aligned
Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build effective working relationships
Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Independent and self‑driven, with a natural sense of initiative
Analytical and solution‑oriented, able to identify issues and resolve them effectively
