Principal Information Security Engineer – Cryptography
Waterloo, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Information Security Engineer with deep expertise in cryptography to join our team in Waterloo. This is a hands-on role supporting enterprise cryptographic initiatives in a multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cryptographic systems and solutions
Apply advanced knowledge of cryptographic frameworks and standards (IETF, ANSI, ISO, NIST)
Work with financial cryptography technologies including PIN, P2PE, and EMV
Apply post-quantum cryptography knowledge (FIPS algorithms)
Implement and manage advanced key management practices (ANSI TR-31, ANSI TR-34, X.509/RFC5280)
Contribute to PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) operations and cryptographic best practices
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong academic or practical background in cryptography (Master’s level or equivalent hands-on experience)
Certified security practitioner preferred
Advanced knowledge of key management, PKI, and financial cryptography
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills in a multicultural team
Hands-on, proactive, and ready to contribute from day one
