Communications Associate


CCIA Europe is seeking a Communications Associate to support the Association's work. The Associate will be based in Brussels and report to the Head of Communications for Europe, playing a key role in driving CCIA Europe's engagement strategy. This is a hands-on role for a versatile communicator who combines strong writing skills with content creation, event delivery, and project management – translating the team's tech policy expertise into impactful events and content.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Event coordination: Full ownership of event management, from concept development and project coordination to logistics, speaker outreach, invitations, and registration management. Depending on the scope of a project, the execution may happen with the support of an events agency.
  • Publications and creative assets: Coordinating the production of publications, acting as liaison between the CCIA Europe team and third-party authors. Overseeing process and timelines, as well as managing the creation of supporting creative assets (e.g. infographics, interactive dashboards, etc).
  • Digital content: Producing and managing content for website and social media, including written, visuals, and video format.
  • Database and outreach: Managing databases and CRM software with contacts for both media and policy outreach, and overseeing the distribution of newsletters and email updates.
  • Media monitoring: Monitoring both traditional media outlets and social media for relevant coverage, as well as structured reporting on CCIA Europe's media hits.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Two to four years of relevant experience, with a proven track record (candidates are strongly encouraged to highlight tangible deliverables in their application)
  • Excellent written and spoken English (please provide relevant writing samples, in both short and long format, showing how you are able to convey complex policy/technology issues in a clear and compelling way)
  • Familiarity with EU policymaking processes, institutions, and policymakers
  • A solid understanding of the EU media landscape
  • Experience working on tech and digital policy files appreciated
  • Strong attention to detail, both visually and in terms of messaging
  • Demonstrated strength in planning and project coordination
  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRMs (e.g. Quorum), Meltwater, social media platforms, video editing software, and WordPress 
  • The legal right to work in the EU
