Terumo Global Business Services (GBS) is a global organization designed to support Terumo's long‑term growth by delivering standardized, efficient, and high‑quality business services across regions and business units.
GBS centrally manages end‑to‑end processes while working in close partnership with the business to meet service delivery expectations and enable operational excellence.

The GBS organization collaborates globally across EMEA, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, and plays a key role in driving process standardization, governance, and scalable operating models.

Job Summary

For a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment, you will join Terumo as a GBS Transition Manager, supporting the continued expansion and evolution of Global Business Services.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, governing, and executing the transition of new functional, regional, or process scope into GBS, primarily within the EMEA region, with potential interaction with other geographies.

You will work closely with GBS Service Delivery, Service Management, Global Centers of Excellence, and retained organizations to ensure transitions are executed in a controlled, compliant, and sustainable manner.

This is a temporary, delivery‑focused role with a strong emphasis on transition execution, governance, and stakeholder alignment.

Job Responsibilities

Transition program management

You take overall ownership for planning and managing end‑to‑end scope migrations in line with GBS strategy, scope, and timelines

Cross‑functional and cross‑regional teams are coordinated to ensure smooth and timely execution of activities

Furthermore, dependencies across functions, regions, systems, and stakeholders are actively managed

Process & activity assessment

You perform detailed activity and process analyses to assess feasibility and readiness

Current‑state processes are documented, while future‑state operating models within GBS are supported and refined

In parallel, risks, gaps, and constraints related to the scope migration are identified and assessed

Transition planning & execution

You remain accountable for developing comprehensive plans covering scope, resources, risks, controls, and communication

Execution includes monitoring progress and resolving issues to ensure successful migration

Oversight of knowledge transfer, stabilization, and handover to GBS operations forms a key part of the role

Ongoing identification and mitigation of risks related to the scope migration is required

Compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements is ensured throughout

Governance & readiness

You set up and drive governance forums, enabling structured and timely decision‑making

Readiness criteria across process, people, systems, and controls are defined and consistently applied

Readiness assessments are performed, with clear recommendations formulated for governance bodies

Where required, escalation paths and issue‑resolution mechanisms are established and maintained

Stakeholder & change management

You engage with global business and functional stakeholders to align on objectives, scope, and timelines

Clear and transparent communication keeps senior stakeholders informed on status, risks, and decisions

Where needed, you support change management activities to enable adoption of new ways of working

Profile Description

You hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or you bring equivalent professional experience

You have demonstrated experience in GBS, shared services, finance transformation, business process transformation, or IT system implementation

At least 3 years of experience leading global, cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders supports your application

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including hands‑on activity and process analysis, are part of your profile

 You bring solid experience in project and transition management, covering planning, execution, and risk management

Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems is required

Familiarity with shared services and outsourcing models is expected

Management consulting experience in GBS or finance transformation is considered an asset

You are comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, international environment

Fluency in English is required; additional EMEA languages are an advantage
