Junior Financial Accountant

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of an established international organisation in the financial services sector for a Junior Financial Accountant to join their Brussels-based finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to gain exposure to month-end processes, statutory reporting, and working within a fast-paced multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support transaction processing within the finance systems
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support preparation of annual statutory and consolidated accounts
• Assist with external audit processes
• Perform bank reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts
• Support preparation of tax-related schedules and documentation
• Assist with corporate tax return preparation
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and finance projects as required

Requirements

• Experience or exposure to ERP / finance systems
• Basic understanding of Sales VAT and Input VAT
• Exposure to Accounts Receivable processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Languages

• Dutch: B2 or higher preferred
• French: B2 or higher preferred
• English: B2 or higher required
