Tech Lead

pleasefix.ai is building Cursor for finance & strategy analysts : automating workflows across Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Chrome so analysts can focus on thinking , not document production.

Unlike web-based or modelling-only tools, our platform integrates directly into analysts' native tools , fully adapted to each firm’s templates and connected to internal & external data sources.

We are a team of 5 (2 founders + 3 AI engineers) backed by US & EU investors. Our engineering team is based in Brussels, while our go-to-market team operates from New York.

The Role

We are hiring a Tech Lead to design and scale a secure, production-grade architecture for our AI platform.

You will also take ownership of architecture, infrastructure, automation, reliability, scalability, security, and help guide fellow engineers as we scale our product, applying breakthrough technologies to reinvent ways of working across the finance and strategy industry.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership technical role.

What you’ll do

• Own our full-stack & cloud architecture end-to-end
• Lead cloud architecture, deployment, and monitoring
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation
• Design backend and data architecture for distributed AI systems
• Ensure observability, reliability, and security across environments
• Drive scalability, performance, and best practices in infrastructure-as-code

Your Profile

📈 Experience & Background

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with strong infra/cloud/DevOps background
• Proven experience scaling B2B SaaS or AI products
• Master’s in engineering or computer science
• Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus)
• Experience as a Founding Engineer, CTO, or senior engineer in a startup or scale-up is a plus

💻 Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge in Python, FastAPI, and TypeScript for building production-grade backends
• RESTful APIs, async patterns, error handling, & system design
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Proficient with Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Terraform, and container orchestration
• Hands-on experience with observability stacks (LGTM)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, automated testing, and deployment
• Proficient in database design with PostgreSQL
• Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of security best practices: API authentication, secrets management, GDPR/SOC2 compliance
