Legal Counsel

This dynamic, multinational team company specializes in aircraft and engine leasing. Services also includes asset management and technical consulting services.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating, drafting, and managing aircraft and engine leasing and trading transactions involving airlines, lessors, and OEMs.
• Drafting and executing various agreements, such as NDAs, maintenance agreements, warranty letters, and financing documents.
• Providing legal advice on risks and compliance issues to ensure goals are met while minimizing risks.
• Reviewing and assessing disputes or litigation cases to support management decisions, including managing external counsel in relevant jurisdictions.
• Serving as the primary legal contact for internal stakeholders, such as business departments or affiliate companies.
• Offering management comprehensive information and reports as needed.
• Leading and managing ad-hoc projects assigned by management.
• Participating in and leading projects related to CMS management and other compliance software.

Requirements:

• Prior experience with business transactions and compliance, ideally within the aviation or transport sector.
• Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a diplomatic approach in customer interactions and internal discussions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Business acumen and a customer-oriented approach.
• High level of dedication and adaptability.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and workflows within the legal team.
• Proficiency in English, with additional language skills preferred.
• Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office and contract/customer relationship management tools.
• A Master’s degree in legal studies is advantageous.
