Embedded Software Engineer​ Reaction Wheels​

Role ​

As Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of the software for reactions wheels. Beyond software development you will validate and debug the interaction between software, electronics and FPGA logic. You will interact with the control engineering team and design new products in collaboration with our FPGA and electrical engineers. ​

Tasks ​

• Embedded software development ​
• Implementation and testing of communication protocols ​
• Electronics measurement and debugging ​
• Develop and carry out test procedures ​
• Report on software architecture and test results. ​
• Electronics debugging ​

Required skills ​

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or Informatics ​
• Able to write clean code in C, Rust and Python and good overall software development skills (Git, documentation, testing). ​
• Hands on experience with electronics ​
• Fluent in written and spoken English ​
• Good reporting skills ​

Desired Skills ​

• Experience with motor control (e.g. FOC)​
• Basic electronic rework/design skills ​
• Experience with FPGA development ​
• Knowledge with space electronics and software design (e.g. Radiation testing, ECSS standards)
